There were around 6 to 8 girls packed into a very small lobby space. The upstairs was very nice, very clean, very professional, and very small. None of the girls looked at me when I entered because they were all busy with their phones. The next girl in the queue stood up and said to follow her. She was older, I estimate in her mid to late 30’s, and not that attractive.
Once you arrive at the shop the process is simple enough. When you walk through the door you’ll be in a small lobby. The women at the front desk asks for 400,000 Dong ($17 USD). Just a few years ago the price was 120,000 Dong plus tip. The arrival of foreigners seems to have increased the price greatly.
After you are partnered up, you’ll be taken to a row of barber chairs. There will probably be one or two Vietnamese guys already there. Your masseuse will give you a light massage on your shoulders and head. This is also the time she’ll engage in some small talk. If you can’t speak Vietnamese, this part won’t last long at all. No worries though, all of the women who work here seem to be rather upbeat and happy, even if you’re a foreigner with no grasp of the local language
